STERNGLAS Merion – How to Handle Your New Automatic Watch

How to set your Merion

  1. Unscrew the crown at 4 o'clock by turning it counterclockwise.
  2. Turn the crown clockwise 40 times to wind the watch.
  3. Pull the crown to the second position and turn it clockwise to set the time.
  4. The date will change around midnight.
  5. Pull the crown to the first position and turn it counterclockwise to set the date.
  6. Push the crown back to the zero position. Then, gently press it in and turn it clockwise. Once no warning color is visible on the crown, it is securely closed.
  7. Unscrew the crown at 2 o'clock by turning it counterclockwise.
  8. You can turn the crown in both directions to move the inner ring.
  9. Gently press the crown and secure it by turning it clockwise until no warning color is visible on the crown.

    Important Note: The Merion is water-resistant up to 20 bar. To ensure the watch is optimally protected and remains water-resistant, please make sure that both crowns are securely closed. This is the case when no signal color is visible on either crown.

How to adjust the metal bracelet of your Merion

  1. Pull the outer link upward in the direction of the arrow.
  2. You can now separate the bracelet links.
  3. Repeat the process and remove any excess links.
  4. Pull the outer link back up and let it snap into place.
  5. Repeat the process on the other side of the bracelet.
  6. The clasp has three adjustment points.
  7. Use a sharp object (e.g., a toothpick) to press into the middle hole on both sides.
  8. Slide the bracelet to the desired hole position until it clicks into place.

How to change the strap on your Merion

  1. Press the spring bar inward to detach the metal bracelet from the case.
  2. Repeat the process on the other side.
  3. Take the short piece of the strap and attach it to the top of the watch.
  4. Repeat the process with the longer strap piece.
  5. Check both ends to ensure the strap is securely fastened.
