    With the Hamburg Edition Argo, we celebrate our home city of Hamburg and its connection to seafaring. With this special edition, we are returning to a special colour design that has already inspired the STERNGLAS community in the past.

    Fans of the unmistakable dial of the Hamburg models will feel right at home visually and can still enjoy the contrasting interplay of new colours. This is not only pleasing to the eye, but also enhances readability.

    Whether you missed the previous Argo editions or are looking for an exciting model for spring - the special edition Argo of the STERNGLAS Hamburg now gives you the opportunity to wear one of 1,499 pieces on your wrist. An absolute eye-catcher in your STERNGLAS watch collection.

    Worry-free thanks to sapphire crystal

    We only use sapphire crystal for our timepieces. This type of watch glass is usually found in the luxury watch market.

    For a perfect view of the dial, we apply a double anti-reflective coating to the sapphire crystal.

    What exactly is sapphire crystal?

    Sapphire is the third hardest transparent material in the world - after diamond and moissanite.

    Curved sapphire crystal not only looks good, it makes the durable watch crystal even more resistant.

    This makes it virtually impossible for your sapphire crystal watch to get scratched in everyday life.

    Inspired by the ancient "Argo Navis" constellation

    Incidentally, this special edition owes its name to the ancient constellation "Argo Navis". In Greek mythology, the Argo was the ship of the hero Iason and his so-called Argonauts, who set out together to fetch the valuable Golden Fleece. Thus, the Hamburg Edition Argo is the perfect companion for new adventures and voyages of discovery - or simply a refreshing novelty in familiar everyday life.

    Limited special edition with edition engraving

    Even though you will probably have to do without the Golden Fleece, the Hamburg Edition Argo comes with an exclusive edition strap and an artistic edition engraving. In keeping with the nautical theme, the watch is also water-resistant to 5 bar. So you don't have to take the watch off for everyday contact with water, such as when washing your hands.

    Like all STERNGLAS timepieces, the double anti-reflective sapphire crystal in the Argo edition ensures optimal readability. The double curvature of the crystal provides additional resistance and protects against scratches in all everyday situations.

    Swiss precision work at hand

    Limited edition strap made from Italian leather

    The velvety soft interchangeable strap made of Italian vintage leather captivates with its striking cut edge and the two-tone 'pull-up effect'.

    External influences allow the leather to mature over time, creating the unique vintage look.

    Made with great care by our German partner leather manufacturer. Includes classic polished stainless steel buckle with engraved STERNGLAS logo.

    Easy strap change without tools

    Thanks to the quick-change system, you can give your timepiece a new look in just 10 seconds:

    1 — Slide the pin of the spring bar inwards.

    2 — Pull the strap off the watch.

    3 — Put on a new strap by sliding the pin inwards again and inserting the spring bar one after the other into the holes in the case.

    How long does the battery last? Can I change the battery myself?

    The batteries we use normally last between 2-5 years. We recommend that you always have the batteries changed by a jeweller or watchmaker.
