For us, Hamburg means one thing above all else: home. But the world-famous port city is not only made up of the well-known districts of Mitte, Altona, and Eimsbüttel, but also of a hidden gem on the North German coast: Neuwerk.

The Hamburg Chrono Edition Neuwerk captures this spirit and translates it into a functional chronograph for everyday use.
Limited to 1,999 pieces and delivered with a certificate of authenticity.

Worry-free thanks to sapphire crystal

We only use sapphire crystal for our timepieces. This type of watch glass is usually found in the luxury watch market.

For a perfect view of the dial, we apply a double anti-reflective coating to the sapphire crystal.

What exactly is sapphire crystal?

Sapphire is the third hardest transparent material in the world - after diamond and moissanite.

Curved sapphire crystal not only looks good, it makes the durable watch crystal even more resistant.

This makes it virtually impossible for your sapphire crystal watch to get scratched in everyday life.

Award-winning design, storm gray dial, and a rough North Sea wind

Limited to 1,999 pieces, this special edition captivates with its unique aesthetic. The satin-finished dial of the 42 mm timepiece is storm gray, reminiscent of the rough North Sea.

Four orange dots provide orientation, as do the turquoise skeleton hands and the chronograph second hand in signal red. The dial is rounded off with a date display at 6 o'clock.

Limited edition engraving “Historic Lighthouse” on the island of Neuwerk

The delicate engraving on the back of the case depicts one of the famous mudflat carriages in front of the island's landmark – the historic Neuwerk lighthouse, which, at 700 years old, is also Hamburg's oldest building.

Each watch is individually numbered and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

TMI VK64 Mecha-Quartz Movement

A very special movement beats inside the Hamburg Chrono: the TMI Mecha-Quartz VK64. This remarkable quartz chronograph movement impresses with its tactile feel and the smooth, fast movement of the hands.

The pushers of the movement offer a clearly defined pressure feeling and the central chronograph hand ticks in fine 1/5-second increments.

The highlight is the 2-point hammer system. After pressing the reset button, all chronograph hands return to zero immediately and synchronised - just like a mechanical chronograph. Thanks to this movement, the date window is also larger.

After 60 minutes have elapsed, the chronograph hand stops again.

Interchangeable Strap for Any Occasion

The velvety soft replacement strap in Nero, made from Italian vintage leather with contrasting red stitching, captivates with its striking cut edge and two-tone ‘pull-up effect’.

External influences cause the leather to mature over time, creating a unique vintage look. Manufactured with great care by our German partner leather manufacturer.

Easy strap change without tools

Thanks to the quick-change system, you can give your timepiece a new look in just 10 seconds:

1 — Slide the pin of the spring bar inwards.

2 — Pull the strap off the watch.

3 — Put on a new strap by sliding the pin inwards again and inserting the spring bar one after the other into the holes in the case.

We are happy to check if your desired watch can be ordered with an alternative strap. Simply send an e-mail to support@sternglas.com and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

How long does the battery last?

The batteries we use typically last between 2-5 years. We recommend having a jeweler or watchmaker perform a battery replacement.
