Providing Guidance for Centuries: The Hamburg Chrono Edition Neuwerk 2.0

About 60 miles from Hamburg, Germany, Neuwerk lies in the middle of the Wadden Sea. Wind, water, and ever-changing light shape this small island, which, despite its remote location, has been closely connected to Hamburg for centuries.

The Hamburg Chrono Edition Neuwerk 2.0 translates this special connection into a more distinctive character. A brushed PVD bronze case meets storm gray, luminous orange, and carefully placed red accents. Inside, a mecha-quartz chronograph movement adds a functional, instrument-inspired dimension to the maritime design.

Worry-free thanks to sapphire crystal

We only use sapphire crystal for our timepieces. This type of watch glass is usually found in the luxury watch market.

For a perfect view of the dial, we apply a double anti-reflective coating to the sapphire crystal.

What exactly is sapphire crystal?

Sapphire is the third hardest transparent material in the world - after diamond and moissanite.

Curved sapphire crystal not only looks good, it makes the durable watch crystal even more resistant.

This makes it virtually impossible for your sapphire crystal watch to get scratched in everyday life.

Storm Gray Meets Bronze.

The satin-finished, subtly curved dial in storm gray captures the rugged atmosphere of the island of Neuwerk. Luminous orange accents create a striking contrast, while silver and turquoise needle-shaped hands complement the edition’s maritime color palette.

Red details highlight the chronograph functions and add a dynamic touch to the dial. The brushed PVD bronze case creates a warm contrast against the storm gray and gives the chronograph its distinctive character. Double-domed, double anti-reflective sapphire crystal protects the dial.

A Beacon for Centuries.

The story of the edition continues on the back. The four-screw case back made from 316L stainless steel features an engraving created exclusively for the Neuwerk Edition 2.0.

At its center is Neuwerk’s historic lighthouse. It has shaped the island’s identity for centuries and guided generations of sailors on their way toward the Elbe and the Port of Hamburg. This way, the Hamburg Chrono Edition Neuwerk 2.0 carries a piece of its inspiration right on your wrist.

TMI VK64 Mecha-Quartz Movement

A very special movement beats inside the Hamburg Chrono: the TMI Mecha-Quartz VK64. This remarkable quartz chronograph movement impresses with its tactile feel and the smooth, fast movement of the hands.

The pushers of the movement offer a clearly defined pressure feeling and the central chronograph hand ticks in fine 1/5-second increments.

The highlight is the 2-point hammer system. After pressing the reset button, all chronograph hands return to zero immediately and synchronised - just like a mechanical chronograph. Thanks to this movement, the date window is also larger.

After 60 minutes have elapsed, the chronograph hand stops again.

Character in Every Detail.

The black vintage strap made from cowhide leather picks up the edition’s distinctive red details. Contrasting red stitching carries the dial’s color palette onto the wrist, creating a cohesive look between the watch and strap.

Thanks to its characteristic pull-up effect, the leather develops a unique patina over time. The quick-release system allows you to change the strap in seconds without any tools.

Easy strap change without tools

Thanks to the quick-change system, you can give your timepiece a new look in just 10 seconds:

1 — Slide the pin of the spring bar inwards.

2 — Pull the strap off the watch.

3 — Put on a new strap by sliding the pin inwards again and inserting the spring bar one after the other into the holes in the case.

How long does the battery last?

The batteries we use typically last between 2-5 years. We recommend having a jeweler or watchmaker perform a battery replacement.

The rhythm of the island is still shaped by the tides. At low tide, you can walk across the Wadden Sea to Neuwerk or take the traditional horse-drawn mudflat carriage known as a Wattwagen.
